Thanks so much to the Readers for helping me identify my previous "mystery plant"...now I need help with the one in these pics (not the hosta in the background).
Leaves are kind of waxy feeling.

I sent this to gardencompass.com ... Their botonists identified it as a Texas ash tree. Thanks for everyone's input ... another mystery solved!
