How do I get rid of mildew on crepe myrtle trees
I have read that you use vinegar, but that seemed to make it worse.
Spray the leaves over and under making sure you the soil is sprayed as well with a fungicide for citrus trees.
Neem Oil is great too.
The all-time best and cheapest of all fungicides is Consan Triple Action 20.
It is a mildicide, fungicide, sanitizer (at one time it was used in hospitals) disinfectant, and deodorizer (it's great for spills that smell in the car).
It is cheap to use: 2 Tablespoons per gallon of water.
Perfect for sofets: Clean with bleach, spray with consan when dry and you will never have mildew up there again.
It is water solvable and will wash off most exterior surfaces.
It will also cut power washing time on mildewed surfaces and is a life saver on wood shingles.
It is odorless and colorless.
PS. I used to sell it.
Add 2 tablespoons of cinnamon powder to 1 pint of rubbing alcohol, shake well. Let it sit for 24 hours, the mixture will turn brown. Filter and transfer it to a spray bottle and spray away! It's a fungicide.
Neem Oil worked great for our lime tree!
