    You can enrich the soil such as with compost. You should make sure they are planted in all day sun or afternoon sun. Try to limit the pruning to early spring, and keep up with watering!!

    Hydrangeas prefer partial shade,however if they are in full sun they need constant moisture,not saturated .If you are feeding them with a fertilizer that has a lot of nitrogen all the growth will be in the leaves not the flower .Potasium will encourage larger flower growth.
