This is a water plant with think stem up to six feet with a fireworks looking burst as the flower. What is it and how do I winter it inside

This is a plant I don't know the name of but it is a water plant with long single stalk and a spiky top that looks like a green Fireworks burst . How do I winter this.?

That is papyrus. It will die back and come back next season. This is what the egyptians made paper out of.Helpful Reply -

King Tut papyrus plant. Available thru pond plant suppliers everywhere. I have tried to overwinter in the house in brite sun with no luck. If you live in s. Florida they probably live year round. They do not survive frost . Very decorative in the pond.Helpful Reply -
