I have a tall summer phoxl plant when do I take the dead blooms off?

    I usually take the dead blooms off of my plants right away. There is really no reason to leave the dead blooms on there, and this prevents the plant from trying to direct energy into a dead bloom.

    Before the seed pods ripen if you want to control the spread to every inch of your garden, so dead head as soon as the flowers are gone. Dead heading will encourage lateral blooms increasing the flowering time.
