Maybe too much water ? Succulents like it very dry and sandy , well drained soil/potting mix

Don’t water them a lot and they do great in the sun. Water early morning don’t
    Over saturate them.

I have a problem keeping succulents, in the house alive too... not enough sun light in the areas where I want to use them.... and outside.. it gets too much hot sun here in AZ. I finally resorted to getting a variety of artificial ones... found them on Ebay... and they are very real looking.

i live in the northeast and grow a lot of succulents indoor and out. i agree with Donna, they love sun but if you gave them a lot of water they will have a hard to thrive. sedums are very easy to grow all colors from white,to yellow and other cool colors. check with your local garden center and ask them about sedums low growing and they spread like wild fire. good luck.

They can be finicky, but like the others said, water early in the day without over doing it. Try to avoid the leaves as well. I ended up painting some pinecones to replace my dead succulents. I found the project here on Hometalk!

Companies like Miracle-gro or Espoma make specific potting mixes for succulents or cactus .These can be placed in a planting hole after removing soil , say 6-8"W for 3" pot if plants are planted in the ground . If growing in pots , use this same mix or make your own : 3 parts potting soil , 2 parts sand , 1 part Perlite a good choice . Sand must be coarse to allow for good drainage , not fine particles . Bagged sand ,sold for sandboxes at home improvement stores usually meets these needs . Again , avoid over watering !

Pretty much only two things that will kill them. Not enough sunlight and too much water.

Hello, you may be over caring on them, try planting them and forget them.
