Do you dig up your elephant ears in the fall? I live in Oklahoma.

    yes they will not overwinter in your hardiness zone

    Yes you have to dig them up before it gets cold, by September, Or before a frost in your area. I grow mine in large pots, that I bring into my basement to winter. I have a window there that provides enough light. If you dig them up, store in a cool dry place in a paper or mesh bag. They are a tropical plant.

    dont store them in a shed or anywhere that goes below freezing

    Kathy, if yours die, just let me know. I can't get rid of the things. I used brush kill on them and it worked like fertilizer. I'll dig up as many tubers as you want and gladly send them to OK.
