Mushrooms in the lawn are created from to much water. Apply a fungicide in the morning.
I can't find an identification for you, but I found a site that discusses why mushrooms appear where they do and how to get rid of them. I hope that helps you! http://ipm.ucanr.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn74100.html
Good AFternoon Ficher Luce, The picture above reminds me of mushrooms from the Heveloma species; perhaps hebeloma hiemale, but I won't swear to it. The thing is, in order to control mushrooms in your lawn you have to control the amount of light and moisture that gets to your lawn. Mushrooms Like moist shady spots and your lawn (as mine) must have just enough to encourage mushroom growth.

Good Luck and thanks for using HOMETALK for solutions :)
Here's a good article on getting mushrooms/toadstools out of the lawn. Just from looking at the photo, your lawn needs to be shorter, then rake really well to get the thatch out of the grass. I would get the fungus out first,
Then I would aerate the lawn, get a rental machine, or get some of those sandal things to put over your shoes with spikes from amazon.

OOOPPPSSSS ---- Ficher, My finger hit the wrong key and the name of the mushroom species is NOT spelled with a V as I did above (heVeloma) but IT IS spelled with a B >>>> HEBELOMA ... so sorry about the misspelling :/
