I checked the zone for Ohio and you range from 4b to 5b...very cold...so it states "it MAY grow there." Try it if you have the money and time to donate to it. You may be able to grow in a pot and move into a basement in winter.

Most of Ohio is in zone 6A. You can do a web search and get a map and compare it to your location. Most species of the Jasmine genus of climbing vines with delicate, fragrant flowers grow best in U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 9 or 10. They will not grow well where you are. The most cold-hardy species, winter jasmine (Jasmine nudiflorum ), grows outdoors in USDA zone 6.

Too funny , She probably is telling the truth ! Lol , I'm Ohio born and relocated to California 10 years ago and one of the very 1st things I noticed was the beautiful smell of wild jasmine and night blooming jasmine in the air everywhere, it's amazing and beautiful smell . One of biggest questions I have , being likely I'll be back in Ohio . I wondered if I could grow and maintain Jasmine in Ohio ? So glad to see there are hardy varieties now that survive in zone 6! Well I'm hoping so .
