When in doubt, find it on Amazon!
Hollyhocks are bienniels......don't plant where snow and ice pileup from the roofs, they hate it. I like the old fashioned single flowers, most of the seed packets sold are doubles, ie lots of petals. Hollyhocks are prone to mildew, like phlox...so be prepared.
Agreed, hollyhocks are biennials. I have however had a few come back in the same place ,get really huge and then die back after 3 or 4 years!. Easy to buy seeds online from any seed catalog. They hate being transplanted , so make sure you plant them where you want them. You can remove the seeds at the end of the blooming season after the seed pods dry. I put mine in a jar, label it for the next year or you can just plant them where you want to. They will also just reseed, but often not in a very practical place.
