I grow mine inside in front of a sunny window. They require very little care and very little water.
It looks like your poor babies are getting a little too much sunlight and not enough water. If outdoors, water once every other week, and for indoor watering once a month or longer. Maybe this will help - https://acraftymix.com/blog/2018/04/30/tips-identifying-growing-succulents/
It's the metal collander, the way it disperses heat is cooking the plants, move it somewhere shadier. I did the same thing 😣
It really depends on where you live. Most of my succulents live in full sun, about half are in the ground and others are in clay pots. When it is 90 degrees (I live in so Cal), I water thoroughly but make sure they drain well, as succulents don’t like soggy feet. I had to amend my clay soil with cactus potting soil and rocks. I had an owner of a nursery tell me that succulents love water. I agree with the other reply, that the colander may be reflecting heat, move to partially shady place and water more.
Thank you everyone, I will check out the sites and move it to a spot with less sun. I thought the colander would be good because of drainage.
HI Rose, succulents do love the sun but they don't mind partial shade either. We have a huge collection of succulents and they are so rewarding. You can get a whole bunch of tips on growing, propagating or identifying here - - https://acraftymix.com/blog/tips-identifying-growing-succulents/
