When the rosette virus hit one of my rose beds, I cut all four bushes back real low and put used coffee grounds in the soil (this is my Grandmothers cure-all and it very often works). The roses grew and have been fine this season. A neighbor took hers out, put in new soil and compost and planted another plant altogether. I love the Knockouts because they just keep blooming!
