I got one of those long hose ends you can put on different settings and it expands to about five feet. No more taking a shower when watering hanging pots! They are advertising them this week at Aldies really reasonably in their ad.
Hello! It would certainly be worth the minimal investment to purchase a step stool so that you can water your hanging plants from the side and at near-plant level. Till you get a stepstool, you could bring your umbrella out to the terrace with you when you water your plants — Just a thought. Good luck!
Put a water wand on the end of a hose. That will give you about a 4 foot reach and you should stay dry.
Just water them while naked, go inside, towel off and put your clothes back on.
My girlfriends husband put all the hanging plants on pulleys. Might be something to think about. They sell wands or different devices.

I like Ann's suggestion best, but I think if it were me, I'd scare the neighbors. I've seen squeeze bottles, almost like bike water bottles, with a long hooked tube on it at nurseries for watering hanging plants
you can buy what they call a closet hook pole at Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond or Amazon which is a long pole with a hook on the end used to hang or un-hang (is that a word?) clothes on a high pole. Use it to take your plants down to water and then hang them back up. No need to undress lol.
They make long metal extensions to go on your hose. https://www.gemplers.com/product/41484/Dramm-48-Hanging-Basket-Watering-Extension-Handle?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwfel8uqa2wIVTVmGCh0lDAY3EAQYBiABEgLz3fD_BwE&CID=25SEPLA&s_kwcid=AL!3210!3!51404439985!!!g!145762351465!&ef_id=WwTYZgAABI0wticy:20180523025638:s
