No. Leave it outside. I have one in my back yard. It has grown to 30 ft. Nice tree for birds and shade in the hot summer.
Catalpa trees are deciduous trees. They have fragrant white blossoms in spring that become long beans by fall. They are hardy and make glorious trees reaching 65' or more in height. Find an open space in your yard and plant it. If you want to keep it in a pot, you'll need to do research on pruning the growth and the roots to keep it happy. Untrimmed roots in a potted plant can kill the plant.
IS THERE ANY REASON WHY YOU CAN' PLANT IT OUTSIDE ? IF THERE IS THEN YOU SHOULD KEEP IT INSIDE IN A COOL OR COLD PLACE
( KEEP THE SOIL JUST BARELY MOIST SO THE TREE WON'T DRY OUT AND DIE, IT WILL SHED IT'S LEAVES THOUGH ) THEN RETURN IT OUTSIDE FOR THE WARMER WEATHER. IF PLANTED OUTSIDE IT WILL SURVIVE THE FREEZING WINTER ALTHOUGH I DON'T KNOW HOW COLD IT GETS WHERE YOU LIVE. ( THEY MAKE SOME FINE SHADE TREES
I live in central Wisconsin. We lived in Scottsbluff, NE and they grew everywhere in our neighborhood. I eventually planted one too and it grew very quickly. Beautiful share tree all year long - even in winter with the 12-18" beans hanging from it.
I live in the state of misery I mean Missouri . It doesn't get as cold as it does in
Colorado, but I've seen the temperature drop below -20 degrees. for this part of the country that's cold. Check with your local agriculture agent to find out if the tree will survive outside.
I live in Mass. It does get cold in winter ( down to 10 below) but it is a hardy tree and can take the cold. It is permanently in the ground. It is now shedding its seeds. They look like long this bananas. Good luck.
