Make a container garden with various heights of pots and planted up with assorted annuals ,perennials,shrubs based on your planting zone and light structure.
Line the fence with brick or large rocks so you do not lose the mulch through the fencing, then plant what works best for your area.
If you have room. I have many other ways of hiding my chain link fence.
Put down landscaping fabric and put brick or rocks along the fence line. Start your bed on the inside of that.
Grape vine, you can have privacy while enjoying a glass of wine!
