What could substitute for kitchen cabinets?

have no kitchen cabinets.what can I use in place of cabinets? must cost almost nothing

    Wooden crates can be used for upper cabinets, with bottom to the wall and stacked. Base can be pallets on edge and cut down for height and depth. Nothing cheaper than curtains for doors.

    Mary Ann, open shelving is extremely popular right now and can be very inexpensive.

    Hi Mary Ann. You can find some great dressers and wardrobes at thrift stores. Just make sure they are real wood and a good height. They don't need to have the same design. Paint them all one color with matching hardware and you will have an amazing space. I did this in my first home, and to date it's been my favorite. I added a countertop or butcher block attached to the walls behind the dressers and attached to a wardrobe on the end, which I used as a pantry.
