How can I remake a tiny kitchen effectively for more space?
I live in a NYC co-op and face what many of us do...small kitchens not meant for real cooks...no counter space, no storage, etc. I am looking to maximize usable space. Can you help? Thanks

A kitchen island with a butcher block top is great to have in a small kitchen. I actually have an old dresser with a large cutting board on top, butcher block can get pretty pricy. I also have a tall plastic shelving unit pushed up against the wall for my appliances and larger pots and whatnot
