How can I redo my melamine kitchen cabinets to look more modern?

My cabinets have a brown wood edge and no door handles. Other than the face of the cabinets, the rest is fine. It is just the bland, uninteresting face of the cabinet that I would like to change. My kitchen is now white and turquoise(light) with natural wood wainscotting under the windows. I also have just added some wallpaper (that I spray painted light grey) under the counter. I do not wish to remove that. Can you give me some ideas? I would appreciate.

How about a picture of the whole kitchen. It's easier to answer with a view of the whole thing.
Paint them ,put contact paper on them, decoupage them https://www.thehandymansdaughter.com/tips-for-updating-80s-kitchen-cabinets/ https://www.apartmenttherapy.com/6-clever-ways-to-customize-kitchen-cabinets-with-contact-paper-194443 https://www.google.com/search?q=decoupage+melamie+cupboards&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS750US750&oq=decoupage+melamie+cupboards&aqs=chrome..69i57.20788j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Strips of luan can give your cupboards a shaker style look by building a frame around the outer edges of the surface of the doors. Molding or trim boards could add more interest. Another thought is to clean them thoroughly, sand lightly prime and paint or clean and use chalk paint to change the color. The wood trim could be painted a contrasting or darker color to add interest. Whatever you decide - enjoy what you do.
