How can I update my plain white formica cabinets? Plz help!!!!

Question

I don't know what else to say...except my cabinets are very dated.I see a lot of tutorials on refinishing wood cabinets...but nothing on formica cabinets. Is there no help for me?

You can paint Formica just like wood use a good oil base primer than 2 to 3 coats of latex paint seal it with 2 to 3 coats of latex poly just remember latex can go on oil but oil can't go on latex so if you want to do all oil from the primer to the poly that's fine but if you start with a latex primer you have to stay with with all latex good luck with your projects

You can get a clean lined shaker look easily by applying trim then paint out in the color of your choice. Add new hardware.
