What a dark kitchen you must have! I would go with white or cream cabinets. Don’t forget the primer! You can find sheets of glass tiles at Dollar General, Walmart, home improvement stores. These are popular for backsplashes because they are pretty and they reflect light. I would go with as much beige and white as I could. Try to photograph as you work or as other workers use your choices. You can Post the cabinet part, the backsplash part, or both together. Hometalkers would love to see what you do. ☺️
Very dark kitchen. Do what you can to lighten it up. White or off white paint for the walls. Bright throw rugs. A skylight or solatube to bring in more natural light. LED bulbs if you are using anthing older. New light fixtures might give you more light to work with also.
I agree with Jewell, definitely need to lighten up! Jewel what would you think of a very light glaze over a white paint?
grey is becoming the hit color
I would go with a cream colored cabinet with a white glaze (I think the brown glaze looks dirty). Stay away from fads, they fade fast and then you're stuck with it. You might want to get new knobs and pulls. For the backsplash, I would try to find one that pulls all of the colors in the kitchen together. You could try some like the ones below. There are so many tile stores online. Shop around and order a lot of samples to put next to everything. Whatever you choose, remember to seal it. Good luck with your project.
