What's the best way to seal a wood backsplash?
We recently added a butcher block counter top and sink, and we're going to add a wood chevron style backsplash. I'm wondering what the best way to seal it is. Thanks!

Using wood planks as a backsplash behind a gas range , what sealant would be best for this ?
I would use a marine varnish to protect against it getting wet if it is in an area close to the sink. If you are not concerned about water damage--just use a regular poly.
Clear silicone or if you mean the wood it self use a waterproof stain to apply to it make shure it for food
