How do i remodel my laundry room i cant cover my dryer top?

I want shelves over the washer and dryer but my lint drawer is on the top so I cant put a cover over it

Hi Cathy. I'm Cindy. It sounds like you will have to install the shelf over your drier up a bit. Yet I wonder if you could find someone to customize a shelf for you with hinges on the back so that it could be lifted up for the lint trap. Either way, I wish you well, Cathy.
I had a piece of wire shelving that balanced on top of washer and dryer. This allows for access to plumbing, electrical and ventilation. Once a remodel took place, I added metal strips and more wire shelving.

You could also make the shelf shorter to allow you to get to the lint basket.
