Sometimes a fresh coat of paint can have a remarkable impact. We repainted our gray concrete floors a light color and put some rugs down and it was a remarkable improvement.

I want to paint and refresh it is the room that you walk into directly from garage and it already has a tile floor.

Paint is cheap and will refresh... don't use a flat finish though... coming from the garage you want something easier to clean like satin or semi-gloss.

You may want to get one+ of these too. (Black or white) They work great for shoe storage, etc. Also you can buy colorful canvas or wicker baskets to put in the cubbies!
