You can use baseboard molding and trim it to the height you need so it's flush with the tile. It comes unfinished, primed, and finished. You can stain the unfinished, paint the primed, or match the flooring color with the finished. The thickness of the molding should fill the gap between the cabinet and hearth.https://www.homedepot.com/b/Building-Materials-Moulding-Millwork-Moulding-Baseboard/Base/N-5yc1vZcbjpZ1z135q7Helpful Reply -

I agree with William. Get a piece of molding and trim it so it comes level to the hearth tile while covering the front gap. Then put a smaller molding on top of the hearth snugged up against the side of the cabinet and paint all to match.Helpful Reply -

I think I would use the wood to match the floor for a trim. Or I would get more tile and surround it. The tile may have matching small pieces, or you can cut it.Helpful Reply -

How thick is the stone that faces the fireplace? If it is the same width as the space, I would use that to not only fill the gap but to face the bottom of the hearth keeping the height to the top edge of the tiles laid on the hearth (if you don't do that on the sides you are going to have an area that catches dust and dirt, dust bunnies etc). The little wire thingy in front of the cabinet, can you drill a hole in the bottom of the cabinet to bring that through the cabinet instead of in front of it?Helpful Reply -
