Start with the things you won't need until after the move, seasonal clothing, extra bedding, etc. Keep each box only to one room to keep things more organized. Label the boxes before they are moved out of the room they will go into. Make sure you leave out what you will need in dishes, glassware and utensils for a couple of meals. Box up knick knacks, books, etc. as they will not be needed and you can get that done now, instead of rushing. Pack up everything off the walls, etc. and get them out of the way. Leave enough clothes to get by until you are moved and pack up the rest. Leave boxes in bedrooms incase something is needed out of them. Store finished boxes in a less used room somewhere to get them out of the way. Watch the weight of the boxes, some can get heavy real quick. If you start packing early, you can be rid of an awful lot of the packing before you need to start packing in earnest just before the move.Helpful Reply -

I haven't moved in many, many years, but I have read to always have the sheets etc. for beds in a very handy place so that job can be done immediately in the new house.Helpful Reply -
