Boxwoods are good for edging

Check with your county extension agency or local landscaper or local nursery, but I would have a soil sample annualized first. I think that about anything will grow in Perth Washington but your County might not want some plants imported to there.

Aren't Boxwoods slow growing, really slow growning?

Forsethia would be a cheerful hedge, and Lilacs also. Then you can rotate each bush. If you want a smaller care free bush, then look at Lowes, or a hardware store.

Try a red tip, they grow really fast and really large, so plant them far apart. Also Leland cypress makes a great hedge as they grow fast and big as well.
