Fix my ugly yard! I'd like some suggestions for fixing my curb appeal

I would love to have a beautiful yard, but there's no green thumb here. My husband was the gardener, but he's been gone for 8 years now. I've since moved from Georgia to Tampa and would like some suggestions for fixing up my curb appeal (and anything that looks appealing to myself and my neighbors!)

Please help!

Thanks!

There are all kinds of low maintenance tropical plants, visit your local garden center for some creative ideas that will do well in your area.

Take a tour of your community for clues on what they have done to make their yards attractive, bet there are some gorgeous ones.

In Tampa, you should be able to grow just about anything. The key to curb appeal is a focal point in your yard. Select an area about halfway between the house and the street and far away from any doors. Use a garden hose on the grass to create a nice shape. (Nature does not have corners.) Take the advice from those above in order to choose your plants, edging and mulch. (the more maintenance free, the better!) If you're getting a tree, remember they grow! So make sure the space will be large enough for it in maturity. Plant and enjoy. Another really fun thing is garden art. You could get a small statuette, a large spinner or even a seasonal banner. Anything that makes your heart feel warm. Cheers!
