How do I landscape my back yard that gets very little sun?
My backyard has 3 large trees that keep 1/2 of the yard in the shade. I would really love to put the shady areas in rock, but I cannot afford it. So could you give me some suggestions. Thanking you advance Linda Joseph

Hi, Linda,
Growing things in this location is determined by hours of sun this area receives, daily. Lamium and lighter colored hostas, astilbe, brunnera, heucheras, some japanese maples, some hydrangeas, bleeding hearts like shade.
A pondless waterfall would work well, because it's less likely to grow algae in shade.
Thank you
Rock can be free. I got a truck load by just looking around. Got some from an empty field, construction sites where they had to blast (Get permisdion), fallen rock on the roadside, etc. Add some shade loving plants like hostas.
