Putting a hot tub under a roof

I am having a 26x32' screened porch built. I have no neighbors visible but want to be able to use my hot tub rain or sun. I plan to put it in the farthest corner from the house. I don't see any ideas where the tub is not outside. Is it safe to put it under my roof? It's going to be a very tall ceiling.

You can put that hot tub on your porch, but beware if the floor of porch is wood, the water WILL affect it over time. (Or opt for imitation wood replacements.) Since you are building now, be sure that there will be a place for water to drain off to. We had our hot tub in a wooden spa house, and it unnerved me to see spiders on the ceiling, so I was always hosing it off (cover the hot tub first!) If you are going to be gazing upward, you'll be doing the same thing. Add some pest control nearby. You can always add privacy/warmth with screens and shades. Save room for the sauna you'll eventually want too!

My friends built a small building for their hot tub. They didn't want it on the porch either so they built a nice boardwalk from the back deck to the hot tub house. very classy looking and private. You could also consider using glass, plexiglass or even just a sky light for the ceiling. Maybe a small solar panel to heat the building and the hot tub?

Paint the ceiling with blue paint, spiders will think they r outside. Also spray around the outside, check to see if u have a lot of ants in ur yard. Had an exterminator tell me the reason I had spiders was because of the ants. Good luck.
