Please help!! My neighbor just built a deck which overlooks my pool.

Dudley Right on Jun 04, 2014You could put a gazebo over your pool ... if it's not too big, or pergola with a removable cover, outdoor drapery ... or anything that would give you air, light and privacy that can be opened and closed and easily removed for winter storage...just a few ideas. Good Luck! (we overlook neighbor's disgracefully trashed yard, so we have privacy covers on our deck to block the view but still have light and air - very inexpensive but covers a large area)Helpful Reply

Valerie on Jun 05, 2014Here is a post of a collection of ideas: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/grow/landscaping/privacy-screen-ideas-and-how-to-make-a-fence-taller-1194729 I also have a board called 'Paths, walls and pergolas' - have a look and see if there is anything else that could work for you.Helpful Reply

Jeanette S on Jun 06, 2014Bummer! Unfortunately when we live close, we lose privacy... (and just think, all those city planners want us to have less land and live/work/play in the same area...not for me!) It seems a Pergola might be your cheapest answer. Build one where you can put in a swing, etc. Grommets in drop clothes is your cheapest drape screening!Helpful Reply

Ponce Construction on Jun 17, 2014What about planting some kind of tall trees to block their view? We have done that in our own yard as we like our privacy when using our pool or spa. Our trees have grown over the years and completely block either of our neighbors from looking into our yard.Helpful Reply
