I suggest you check out this article from the University of Wisconsin's extension service. To the extent that vinegar is able to kill plants, it is non-selective in doing so, so is not a good choice for application in a yard. http://hort.uwex.edu/articles/creeping-charlie

Hi James! Could you upload a photo of your issues? That will make it easier for other hometalkers and myself to give you better answers and ideas! You can add photos by clicking the upper right drop arrow and select "edit" (see screenshot). Hope this helps! :)

Hey James, it's vinegar and Epson salt but, like Douglas said it kills everything.

Master Gardener (university extension) can help you. I use a mix of salt and vinegar when I don't want anything growing in certain areas, or when I want to re-do planting. I sprinkle salt in area, then using a watering can, I sprinkle the vinegar. Other then this, pull them up after a good rain.

Vinegar works best on dry leaves with the sun shining on area, on a real hot day. Not so great in shady spots

Personally, I never had any luck with any home remedy but I had so much of it. Against my better judgment, I called a lawn service to get rid of it. It did get rid of most of it but my neighbors had it so it crept right back into my yard. I have since moved.........I wonder if the new people are cussing it now.
