What about an outdoor "rug" or mat? They make bamboo mats that seem to dry quickly.

I would get peel and stick carpet squares that can be cut to fit boards and just put them in important placements. It at least would help.

A light color (light grey for example) will reflect the sun's heat, dark colors absorb the heat and arr hot to walk on. There will be more reflection with the light colors but you can't win them all.

Sherwin Williams sells a paint that will reduce the heat enough that you can stand on it barefoot. It's a bit expensive, but it does work. I painted all the cement around my house, i.e.. driveway and sidewalk. You may have to paint a coat of primer first to fill in the pores, otherwise you will need to paint several coats of paint, and again, it's not cheap.

If you don't want to use outdoor carpet, you might want to consider painting the areas where people walk bright white -- it will be cooler on the feet.

It's going to be too hot. I use indoor outdoor carpet that's acrylic and dries in mins after the rain. Indoor outdoor rug are cheap. $80 for a 9 x12 and you can get runners too for paths. They make very pretty ones too. I got a close out 9x12 for $15. And you can cut it w a scizzors..just look for deals.
