Can you redo old flower urns with the sand method?

I believe it would be as simple as applying an outdoor water resistant adhesive to the urn, then sprinkling well with sand, turning and doing the other side, etc. until you have it completely covered. Maybe repeat and do a second coat, then spray with a waterproof clear sealer to keep the sand attached. It should look amazing. If there are cracks in the urn, these would need to be filled and treated so moisture does not get into the urns. Good luck and let us know how this works. Others may be interested to do this too.Helpful Reply -
