Once upon a time there was a tree. In its place is now an eyesore. It's in front of picture window so can't be too tall. 6-8 ft area. 15 ft to left is blue spruce tree.

I don’t live in your climat/garden zone so don’t know if wil grow but a Chaste Tree would be lovely not to big maybe 10 feet tops covered in purple flowers in spring.

I had a bird bath in my backyard but it required so much work keeping it clean. But watching the birds is enjoyable.

Did they take the stump out?

A photo would be very helpful to know what we’re talking about.

I like the idea of a “mounded” planting area. You can choose the plants that work in your zone and create a bit of privacy at the same time. Rocks, wood, birdbath, fountain, feeders-your choice! Have fun 👩‍🌾!

Cathy go to the Missouri Botanical for additional ideas. consider this as an opportunity to create a front yard patio. or to start a permaculture landscape. in other words, multipurpose plantings that can look beautiful as well as edible.
