I am, by no means, an expert. I kill most everything, but my knockout rose bushes thrive! I read a long time ago that banana peels are great for rose bushes, so in the spring I dig a little trench around them and place a few banana peels around each bush. It seems to work the rose bushes grow like crazy! -

NONE! My husband fertilized when he first planted them but not in last 10 years. -

Spring is the best time, or when you see new growth starting. I use composted kitchen scraps as fertilizer
