Where is the best place to plant lilacs? Full sun, part sun?

Mine did lovely with south-western exposure. Midday sun, they can tolerate some 'wet feet', once established, until then water every other day morning or dusk.Helpful Reply -

Once established, they can tolerate the hot West Texas sun. They might tolerate some shade. They like the sun.Helpful Reply -

I planted the lovely double lilac that my Mother gave me years ago in the middle of my lawn in full sun. It is about 20+ years old now and still a gorgeous bush. When I move, I hope to take a start with me, along with a start of the old yellow rose that came from my Great Grandmother's planting, long before I was born. (I am 74 so it goes back a long way. I love it when it blooms in the spring and is covered with those lovely yellow Roses.Helpful Reply -
