YES it does
Werll, that depends upon how much you feed it, what specise you select; if I were you, I would ask the local plant nurseries; thay can tell you morea bout your particular area...I do know that sometimes, wisteria can take awhile to get established; but if you are looking for a quick, this year's solution, then you are better off planting your wisteria and growing annual plants, like scarlet runner beans or morning glories or moonflowers or cardinal plant that will cover the area qucjly for a couple of years until your wisteria can take over.
Thank you!
Wisteria can be very invasive, it's beaytifgul, and fragrant, but can get out of control in just a few tears if you let it.
Do you know if it's as bad as bamboo for taking over?
Never really noticed...it just grows and when it is too large I trim it cut.it.
Yes, Wisteria grows in FL. We had it in SC and yes, it does become invasive and the runners go underground and can come up several yards away. Do not plant it close to your house or garage!!! Bamboo is just as bad as for being invasive. Once you have either one, you just about cannot get rid of them! Beware where you plant it! It also gets very heavy, so if you put it on a fence or trellis, it needs to be very sturdy, or Wisteria will take it down.
Thank you for your advice. It has been very helpful.
