How can I get rid of marsh marigolds (or its cousin). Taking over!

Dig through the soil in an area twice as wide as the plant and remove any of the remaining rhizomes from the soil. If desired, you can transplant the removed marsh marigold to a wet area of the garden where they will be less of a problem.
