Mothballs are toxic to cats and dogs. Cats do not like the smell but if they get around them much they can breath in the fumes and become sick. Dogs will eat them. They can cause life threatening problems for both. Try cayenne pepper. If you get pregnant please be careful digging in those beds or when changing a litter box as you can get a disease called toxoplasmosis.Helpful Reply -

This may sound strange but , it works. Go to the dollar store and buy clear plastic forks (lots) according to the size of your garden and place them all around the garden fork side up of course to prevent the cats from squatting anywhere. Best of luck.Helpful Reply -
