I hope one of the above articles will help you get rid of them. I have heard that they will not cross a line of cinnamon, but of course that is not getting rid of them, but maybe can help more from crossing a threshold or something. Good luck.
I have used Terro baits with good success. I think the key is to put them out when you first see ants. Naturally keep their food sources sealed and away. Wash the path areas with vinegar to remove their scent trails.
Make a mix of Borax soap powder and icing sugar, and put it along any spots or pathways you think the ants are using. They love the sweetness, but the borax kills them.
