You can mak a homemade solution :
hot peppersgarlicwater andliquid soap

in the fall be sure to clear any debris from your garden to keep them from laying eggs near your garden .

Hi Patricia. I'm Cindy. I did some reading about spittle bugs. I learned that, generally, the spittle bugs will not harm your mint plants. If you can't tolerate the spittle bugs, you can dislodge them with a forceful spray of water. You can use your garden hose for this purpose. Wishing you well Patricia.
