How do I stop my neighbors cats from using my yard as a litter box

They relieve themselves in various parts of my yard. It is not in one spot.

I have used mothballs/crystals and cayenne pepper in garden beds and around our home when our cat went through a marking phase when we were renovating the basement. It will have to be repeated after rains. -

There are motion activated systems using a rain bird sprinkler that will shoot water at them and they won't like that.... just remember to turn it off if YOU are working in the yard... and to turn it back on when you are done. -
