My neighbor "planted it ", in her yard & it quickly went under the fence into my flower beds. I have been trying for kill it for years, but it gets into the other flowers & has even killed off some of my plants as it goes right to the center of the flower & that flower will die & it just keeps going. I have dug down very deep & tried to remove all its runners, sifted the soil & within no time it is back again. It is so hardy, it is growing in my grass, but because of mowing, it cannot take over. Tru green sprays my grass, so they have been able to get rid of "some of it"! I am 79 & exhausted trying to kill this weed, with no help from my neighbor! PLEASE HELP ME TO KILL THIS WEED!

you cannot use anything ,even vinegar, that will harm your other plants. You will have to smother it out with heavy black plastic

If you put down heavy black plastic the runners will keep going underneath until they find a place to get sunlight and come up.

Only advantage is that when you pull up the plastic the runners are exposed and you can pull up handfuls at a time- but you’ll never get everything. They’ve been trying to suffocate my hostas and montauks. Vigilance every week is all I can do to keep it in check.

I have the same issue!! This is the most invasive plant ever! Even if you were to dig down and try and get the tons of trailing root system they still pop up! I'll be watching to see if anyone has some magic way to rid it.

Some people think it's a flower. I love the lacy look in with a container of cut flowers.

Paint it with a brush or sl paint roller and a weed killer, but not close to flowers..then dispose of dead plants.
