How to get rid of elephant plant and Bamboo
the elephant plants are taking over my flower garden How can I prevent this? I do not wish to destroy the current iris and lilies that are growing there. I have been told they are poisonous to touch should I choose to pull them out. The Bamboo has invaded my shed,, and is also taking over a whole section of the yard.

Elephant ear plants are poisonous if ingested. Wear gloves when handling, and do not touch your face, etc. Wash thoroughly afterward, as plants contain oxalic acid.
Bamboo is ridiculously invasive and should always be planted in a container where roots cannot escape. You will most likely have to carefully dig up the iris and lilies (after blooming), remove all growth/roots of elephant ears and bamboo, then replant iris/lilies.
