What can I use between my patio blocks to prevent weeds from growing?

    Joanne, can you put sand between the blocks? It not only helps with weeds, but keeps them firmly in place and looks great.

    spray the weeds with vinegar on a sunny day. Careful with overspray!

    I use a mixture of one cup salt to one gallon water. Spray the weeds and saturate them. The object is to get at the roots. Warning: this will kill everything.

    Stone dust is the best thing I have come up with. You pour it onto your blocks and sweep in into the spaces with a whisk type brush.
