Instant Grits. Sprinkle a healthy dose around windows, doors, anthills. They ingest the dry, it causes them to "explode" and within 2 days no ants. Do not apply to wet ground, usually late morning after dew dries, and if it rains you will have to repeat the process. This won't hurt pets or kids, or plants.

Corn meal can be uses as well as the grits---they take it in, eat it, and it expands in them and they explode---also when you peel a cucumber, go put the peelings around the ant hills---but it doesn't work if you use burpless cucumbers.
