Get a jar and fill it half way with water and dish detergent. It kills them. Instead of flushing them down the toilet and wasting water and paying for the flush.
We have them certain times of year too. We set off bug bombs in our attic twice a year to kill them, but they always come back in. The best thing we have found is a bug vacuum - yes, there is such a thing! I bought it on Amazon. I just vacuum them in to this thing and empty it each week or so.
