What's the best home remedy to get rid of weeds. Lots of weeds?

We’ve had some, note some, luck with a fire torch. Propane fire thru a long-handled stick (no bending). Guys love fire, and it really does help, as does persistence. With time can kill the roots.

Boiling water poured on main root obviously works too. But finding main root......

Best way is to hoe them out, put down either landscape fabric/cardboard or newspaper to prevent them from coming back. A rototiller works great too. Around vegetable rows, use a thick amount of straw (not hay) after hoeing.

so I 'hate' my neighbors who never tend their weedy garden in our nice neighborhood and after three years of wind and ignor-ance, I have two yards full of them. They said they have to kill everything and start over, which they never have...so I can't...cuz it'll just keep happening. But, you can.

did I say garden? I meant front and back yards.

I have the same thing with one of my neighbors that boarders my veggie garden. All I can do is try to keep the weeds down as they travel into the garden. I sometimes go into her yard and attack some of the worst that are getting too big nearby the fence. She doesn't care if I do it, it just means she doesn't have to do it herself. She even lets scrub trees grow, and hubby and I cut them down when they start shading my garden.

Hi Pat, you can pull or dig out as many weeds as possible. Hope this helps, mix 1 cup of salt. 1 tablespoon of dish soap. 1 gallon of vinegar, pour into a spray bottle and spray weeds. Be careful not to spray plants that you love.
