Yes, you can stain composite decking, however it is recommended that you use a solid color stain since there isn't really any grain to show. You would use basically the same procedure as with a real wood deck, cleaning with a good quality deck cleaner and pressure washer, and rinsing well. Apply even coats and back-brush the product to work it into the fibers of the decking material. Remember to allow ample drying time before exposing the surface to foot traffic.

Solid color stain has a tendency to peel, I'd use a semi-transparent oil based stain
