I'm sorry is your patio not concrete and pavers? If in fact your patio is pavers then if the cover is exactly the same size as the patio I would remove a paver where each past is going and dig a hole and set the post in concrete. If the cover is larger then the patio then I would dig the hole outside the patio and set the post in concrete.
